Step 1

Initial application to RGC

1 Sep - 1 Dec 2025
(Hong Kong Time 12:00 noon)

• Make an initial application through the Online Application System at the RGC's website . 
• Obtain an HKPFS reference number

Step 2

Full application to HKBU

1 Sep - 1 Dec 2025
(Hong Kong Time 23:59)

• Find out admission requirements and fields of study on offer
• Submit a full online application to HKBU through our online application system* (please quote the HKPFS reference number obtained from RGC)
• The HKBU programme(s) applied for should be consistent with those indicated in the initial application submitted to RGC.

*Once the registered account is activated, applicants should submit the application within 30 days or before 1 December 2025 (whichever earlier prevails). Otherwise, all application data would be removed automatically from the system.

Step 3

Result announcement

May 2026

The result will be announced at the RGC's website, and individual awardee will receive an email notification direct from RGC
