4-year PhD students, 3-year PhD students and MPhil students are required to complete a minimum of *22 units, 15 units and 12 units of coursework (including the Mandatory Common Core Programme) respectively and achieve a minimum GPA score of 2.67.
If you wish to take courses at the University to fulfil coursework requirements or for interest, you should complete the "Application for Course Add/ Drop/ Withdrawal (For Research Postgraduate Students Only)" for registration of courses or for dropping of courses. You shall be notified of the result of your applications via e-mail within two weeks after you have submitted the application form.
A list of postgraduate courses offered is available approximately one month before the semester starts. Students could access the course information by login to the Web-based University Cyber Port System (BUniPort) at: https://buniport.hkbu.edu.hk.
For registration, attendance and assessment of courses, the relevant provisions under the General Regulations for Undergraduate Degree Programmes and the General Regulations for Taught Postgraduate Degree/Diploma/Certificate Programmes are applicable unless otherwise specified.
