Digital Credential System

The HKBU Digital Credential System provides graduates with secure access to their credentials in digital format. The System has been progressively rolling out different types of credentials since 2020.

Graduates can share their digital credentials, available electronically, with third parties, including:

	Employers
	Employment agencies
	Education institutions

Digital credentials directly downloaded from the System are official and authentic; those received in other ways should be verified through the System to ensure authenticity.
The System will be expanded by phase to provide other types of documents and cover both current students as well as past graduates.

	Graduates will receive a notification email via their HKBU email accounts when their digital credentials are available in the HKBU Digital Credential System.
	The graduates may then login to the System with their SSOids to download the digital credentials or share them with another person or institution.
	To share the digital credentials, graduates need to provide the email addresses of the document recipients (one recipient at a time) in the System. The System will send emails embedded with download links to the recipients.
	The download links are protected by access codes, which will be sent to the recipients in separate emails.
	Recipients may download the digital credentials from the System within 30 days. After 30 days, the download links will expire.
	Recipients may validate the authenticity of the digital credentials via the System.
	Digital credentials are in Portable Document Format (PDF) viewable with a PDF reader.
