4-year PhD students, 3-year PhD students and MPhil students are required to complete a minimum of 22 units, 15 units and 12 units of coursework (including the Mandatory Common Core Programme) respectively and achieve a minimum GPA score of 2.67.

If you wish to take courses at the University to fulfill coursework requirements or for interest, you should complete the "Application for Course Add/ Drop/ Withdrawal (For Research Postgraduate Students Only)" for registration of courses or for dropping of courses.  You shall be notified of the result of your applications via e-mail within two weeks after you have submitted the application form. 

A list of undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered in the coming semester will be available approximately one month before the semester starts. Students could access the course information by login to the Web-based University Cyber Port System (BUniPort) at:


For registration, attendance and assessment of courses, the relevant provisions under the General Regulations for Undergraduate Degree Programmes and the General Regulations for Taught Postgraduate Degree/Diploma/Certificate Programmes are applicable unless otherwise specified.
