Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree; or a Bachelor’s degree with first class honours.
Language Proficiency Requirement
Proof of English proficiency is required for all applicants whose Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees were obtained from institutions outside Hong Kong where the medium of instruction is not English. These applicants must meet the following minimum requirements for English proficiency:
An overall band score of 6.5 in International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or equivalent.
Applicants should also demonstrate a record of at least 4 years of professional experience in the education sector or other relevant sectors as deemed appropriate by the Department.
Students who, for whatever reasons, are leaving the Programme and have satisfied all the coursework requirements and completed the required units with an overall GPA of 2.5 or above and Grade C- or above in all courses, are eligible to be awarded a Master of Education degree as an interim award.
