Aims

The objective of this programme is to enrich media workers and/or university graduates through systematically acquiring extensive experiences in film, television and digital media and prepare them for playing leading roles within the media industry of the Greater China Region.

More specifically the programme aims to:

  1. offer advanced training in the professional, conceptual and aesthetic aspects of film, television and digital media production;
  2. provide opportunities for students to independently create high quality works of particular media forms;
  3. train and educate graduate students to achieve accomplishments at international levels; and
  4. create a platform for intellectual exchange between students and professionals.

Programme Structure

Academic Qualification

Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised university.

 


Language Proficiency Requirement

Applicants should possess a minimum TOEFL score of 79 (internet-based test); or a minimum IELTS of 6.5 as an alternative to the TOEFL score.

Remarks:

  1. This requirement is only applicable to students originating from countries/institutions where English is not the major medium of instruction.
  2. Students with relevant talent but a lower English standard (i.e., an IELTS band score of 6.0 or equivalent) would be considered for admission on the condition that the students have to satisfactorily complete an English enhancement course arranged by the programme.

Applicants should possess strong evidence of academic aptitude and strong interest in creative activities.
