Selection Process
  1. Short-listed applicants may be interviewed should the Programme Board deem it necessary.
  2. Application result will be reflected in the application status in the online application system.
Aims

The programme aims to cultivate in students a deeper knowledge of Chinese culture and broaden their vision with new perspectives to prepare them in meeting the challenges of the changing society. It enhances students’ Chinese language skills and cultural literacy, which are particularly essential for professions such as education, media and cultural management.

Programme Structure  

Interpreting Stream 27 units
Required Courses 9 units
Elective Courses 18 units

Academic Qualification

Applicants should possess:

  1. a bachelor’s degree with second class honours or above in Chinese or related disciplines (mass media, humanities, cultural studies and education) from a recognised university or comparable institution; or
  2. a general degree plus relevant working experience; or
  3. an equivalent qualification.

Four scholarships of HK$42,000 each are awarded annually to students who have outstanding academic performance.
