Single-Sign-on Account for IT Services (SSOid)

You are required to activate your Single-Sign-on Account for IT Services (SSOid) to gain access to the University Cyber Port System (BUniPort). Please refer to the demo for activation of SSOid here.

University Cyber Port System (BUniPort)

Through the BUniPort, you can access your HKBU email, study information, the library system as well as other IT services. To get started with the BUniPort, please click here to read the BUniPort Quick User Guide. You should access the BUniPort to keep your correspondence address, mobile phone number and emergency contact up-to-date.

Application for the Hong Kong Identity (HKID) Card

Non-local students should apply for an HKID card within the first few days upon your arrival in Hong Kong. Please find out more information at Important Information for Non-local Students.

Registration for Newly Admitted Students

You should complete the registration and collect your student card before the commencement of your studies. Please click here to find the information in details.

Course Enrolment for Newly Admitted Taught Postgraduate Students

Please read through the webpage ‘Course Enrolment’. It is important to pay attention to the sections ‘Pre-registered Courses’ and 'Course Registration for Newly Admitted Taught Postgraduate Students'. You have to follow the steps in order to complete your course(s) registration for your studies.

Classes Begin

4 - 17 September 2018

Regular Course Add/Drop

All students are eligible to add/drop the courses/sections within the regular Add/Drop period. Please be reminded not to de-register the pre-registered courses which are required by your programme of study. You may click here to find the information in details.

On or before

 30 September 2018

Submission of a copy of the Hong Kong Identity (HKID) Card*

Non-local students are required to upload a photocopy of the HKID card to the University Student Visa Application System within one month from your commencement date.

Early September 2018

Application for Personalised Octopus with "Student Status" (MTR Student Travel Scheme)

This scheme is applicable for full-time students who have yet to reach the age of 26. Eligible postgraduate students may bring their student card to collect the endorsed application form at the service counter of the Graduate School for submission to any MTR Customer Service Centre (except Airport Express stations, Lo Wu, Lok Ma Chau, Racecourse, Disneyland Resort and Sunny Bay stations).

Academic Integrity Online Tutorial (AIOT)

You are required to complete an "Academic Integrity Online Tutorial (AIOT)" in the first two months after commencement of studies; or you would be barred from registering for courses in the next term. Please click here to find the information in details.
