HKBU is excited to welcome the most outstanding students to pursue our taught postgraduate programmes. We are happy to announce that seventeen of our programmes have been selected for sponsorship under the Targeted Taught Postgraduate Programmes Fellowships Scheme 2023/24. This Scheme, offered by the University Grants Committee (UGC), provides fellowships for meritorious local students to study in the designated taught postgraduate programmes which target priority areas that are conducive to the development of Hong Kong.
Fellowship Entitlement
Fellowship recipients are required to pay a minimum tuition fee of HK$42,100. The fellowship will subsidise the outstanding balance of the tuition fee, subject to a cap of HK$120,000. For details, please refer to the UGC's website.
Eligibility
- Applications are open to local students only;
- The award of fellowships is based on merits, taking into account the students' academic achievements, professional qualifications, relevant working experience and achievements in other areas, as well as their personal statement/proposal; and
- To avoid double subsidy, applications from students who are receiving other forms of government scholarship (except student financial assistance) for pursuing the same programme will not be considered.

HKBU offers seventeen selected taught postgraduate programmes, with a total of 119 fellowship places for the 2023/24 admission intake.
